So I’m part of a promotional tour for Make it Last and I have an excerpt going up tomorrow! As soon as I read the excerpt (it’s totally hot!) I knew I wanted to read the book! Coincidentally, Bethany Lopez decided to give away three ecopies of Make it Last on Twitter and I won one of them!! Awesome! Thanks Bethany! :)

And Goddess Interrupted is courtesy of an ARCycling donator! Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for following! On Dublin Street is pretty amazing. :) It might still be on NetGalley!

I completely agree with you about the Crossfire books. I loved Bared to You but I felt like not that much happened in Reflected and I was frustrated for 98% of the book. Everything made sense in the end but it was too long of a frustrating wait to make up for it.

      Thanks for stopping by!

Ahh Orleans…I was turned down for that one. Oh well. Nice haul. On Dublin Street was a very good read. I enjoyed. Hope you will as well. The rest of them look interesting.

I’m so glad you liked The Edge of Never and Goddess Interrupted! I can’t wait to read them! :)

    • Ashley

Yeah Edelweiss still scares me lol. Seeing all that “Declined” makes me sad. :P I’m so psyched for Pivot Point though! And Bared to You is SUPER sexy!! The second book isn’t as good but the first is awesome! @_@ It’s what Fifty Shades of Grey should have been.. I personally hated that book, but Bared to You is similar, but minus the creepy contract, minus the BDSM, and with great writing!

    • Ashley

I absolutely LOVED Bared to You! It’s really hot, super sexy, and is about a million times better than Fifty Shades of Grey. The stories are kind of similar but Bared to You is on a whole other level. There’s less… creepiness.. lol.

The second book—Reflected in You—isn’t quite as good, but still worth reading!

  2. Amy @ Book Loving Mo

I have been wanting to read Bared to You. It sounds really good. On Dublin Street sounds good too. Ahh Make It Last!! I entered two giveaways for it, but if I don’t win I am totally buying it. I need that book! Great books!! Thanks for stopping by my STS post!

    • Ashley

I’ll be hosting a giveaway for Make it Last starting tomorrow! So feel free to come back and enter. :)

Great haul, I got Pivot Point to. I remember when I got my first approval on Edelweiss. I was so excited because I was so used to being turned down. Enjoy : )

    my STS and giveaway

Ahhh… The Crossfire Novels. A friend lent her copy of Bared to You. I haven’t started it yet. I’m not even sure if I want to read it. Should I? Are you going to review it?

I also Cadet. I have a thing for fantasy books right now, and I’m soooooo excited to read it!

And Ashley, you’re right about Valkyrie Rising!!! I love it! So cute!

I’m so super glad that you’re loving Valkyrie Rising!! Yaaay!!

As for Bared to You.. I personally loved it! My review will be going up next Wednesday. I’m going to compare it to Fifty Shades of Grey because, to be honest, the plots are almost identical. It’s like 24 year old girl meets handsome, sexy, controlling billionaire and starts a relationship with him. But here’s the catch.. I hated Fifty Shades of Grey and I loved Bared to You. My main problem with Fifty Shades was that the main character was doing things she didn’t want to do (being spanked/hurt/punished) because she wanted a relationship from Christian. That whole element is removed in Bared to You.

And furthermore, I thought the writing in Bared to You was beautiful. I wanted to quote every other line! That’s something that was really lacking in Fifty Shades. In Bared to You, the main character is both strong and broken at the same time. She’s intelligent, witty, and can hold her own in a conversation. A big complaint in Fifty Shades is that the main character is weak and isn’t very intelligent at all.

There is loads and loads of sex in Bared to You.. maybe even more than in Fifty Shades, so just beware. But if you’re okay with that, it’s really hot and a complete emotional whirlwind. Both of the characters have serious emotional problems and demons from their past that haunt them.. but in a way, that’s what brings them together.

      • JoAnne

I’ve read Fifty Shades. I don’t know what to think, honestly. It was disturbing, but I was entertained. haha! But it was written like a… script… or something.

You know I think we have the same tastes in books. Like you, I loved the Throne of Glass and Valkyrie. I didn’t like Tiger’s Destiny. You gave it 2.5 stars. haha! So I’ll be getting recommendations from you now. By the way, have you read Beautiful Disaster? I’m thinking about reading it.

Anyway, okay!!! I’m convinced. I’ll read Bared to You!

I was disturbed by Fifty Shades.. it was really the beating and the punishements and the contract (wtf) that turned me off. I don’t mind a book with a somewhat controlling guy, but it has to really work and make me fall in love with the guy.. you know?

I love that we have the same tastes! That’s so awesome! :D I have read Beautiful Disaster and I LOVED it!! It’s one of those crazy insane emotional roller coasters of a book. Again, it does kind of have a controlling, overly jealous love interest, but it completely won me over.

I really hope you like Bared to You! Now I’ll feel bad if you don’t LOL!

  5. Mariana

I loved the crossfire series and can’t wait for the last one. Goddess Interruped ended in a crazy cliffie, but I just love mythology so this series is my addict.
    You had a great week.
    Happy Reading!

I got approved for Pivot Point yesterday as well and I am so excited because a) the book sounds amazing, and b) Edelweiss seems to hate me!

I agree that On Dublin Street is amazing! I devoured it in one evening and thought to myself, “Why hasn’t a publisher picked this book up yet?” and then within the next week the author announced that a publisher picked it up. I was so happy for her! I can’t stop thinking about the book even though it’s been more than a month and a half since I read it.

I am glad to hear that Bared to You was wonderful… I think it will be my next read!

I’m curious about Orleans. I’ve seen it around quite a bit lately, I might have to add that one to my list!

I hope you enjoy all of your books!

Lots of fun stuff this week! That Edge of Never looks SO good! Orleans is the one I’m really liking the sound of though! Very cool that you got it to review. I’ll have to stay tuned to see what you think of it. Thanks for stopping by today. Happy reading!

Yeah that happens to me a lot too Jennifer. I actually requested one other book the same day as Pivot Point and it’s still pending. And I have requests pending from a week ago that are also still pending! Sigh.

I hope your requests finally get approved! Fingers crossed!

And you are going to freaking LOOOVE On Dublin Street! Seriously.

  12. Kelly

    Awesome haul!
The only complaint I had about Bared to You and Reflected in You is that the storyline is just so similar – sex, fight, breakup, makeup, sex, etc.
Thanks for stopping by my STS! :D

I’m so jealous that you have Orleans. I requested it and got declined. I am beyond excited to get my hands on a copy and I cannot wait to hear what you think of it.

I bought On Dublin Street a few weeks ago. I hope I like it. I bought it because I was really curious after hearing all the hype.

I was scared to read the Crossfire series at first because I read and HATED Fifty Shades, but I ended up loving Crossfire! The writing is much better, the main character is 100x stronger, and the relationship is nowhere near as creepy lol!

  19. Nereyda @Mostly YA

I got On Dublin Street too! Im so jealous of Pivot Point and I bought The Edge of Never. That one looks sooooo good!
