Allison Sekemoto has vowed to rescue her creator, Kanin, who is being held hostage and tortured by the psychotic vampire Sarren. The call of blood leads her back to the beginning—New Covington and the Fringe, and a vampire prince who wants her dead yet may become her wary ally.

Even as Allie faces shocking revelations and heartbreak like she’s never known, a new strain of the Red Lung virus that decimated humanity is rising to threaten human and vampire alike.

I LOVED The Immortal Rules so much! I’m psyched for The Eternity Cure! I’m not sure how I feel about the cover though. I mean, I do like this cover, but the style is so different from the original The Immortal Rules cover. I feel like The Immortal Rules cover fits the theme of the book much more. The cover for The Eternity Cure doesn’t look like a vampire book!

Update: I just got approved for this on NetGalley! WOOHOO!!

What book are you waiting on? Leave me a link or a note in the comments!

  1. I’m kind of annoyed by the cover change because it won’t match my copy of the first book, but the excitement kind of smothers that feeling, especially since I got accepted for an ARC of this on Netgalley and I’m still kind of freaking out about it because I can’t believe it actually happened! I haven’t started reading it quite yet (SOON) but I’m sure it’ll be as good as the first one. And we get more Kanin!!

    1. OMG!!! I didn’t request it from NetGalley because it said Australians only, but now I keep seeing non-Australians getting approved for it, so I will too!! LOL! *requests*

    1. Ahhhh I’m so jealous you got approved! I didn’t even bother requesting since it said Australians only, but now I’m going to try!

  2. I actually like the change…it doesn’t look like the typical vamp book, but that’s a good thing. The Immortal Rules cover fit, but after the allegations of “white-washing” I actually think the cover change is a good thing. Anyway, I actually think I like this series better than The Iron Fey, which is saying a lot because I really enjoyed that series. I requested it on NG, even though it said Australian bloggers only because I didn’t see that until I clicked the button, but I got approved anyway. Now to make time for it!!! 😀

    1. Eeep I should totally request it too! I didn’t because it said Australians only but now I see non-Aussies getting approved so I’m going to try LOL!

I actually have not read The Iron Fey yet.. *hides*

    1. You should totally read it! I almost didn’t read The Immortal Rules myself, just because vampires usually aren’t my thing… but I ended up being really pleasantly surprised by it. It’s more about the dystopian world and the virus than it is about vampires.. It’s really interesting!

  3. Thanks for stopping by my WoW 😀

Ah I’m seeing some of my friends reading the NG of this, I haven’t even finished The Immortal Rules yet lol. I couldn’t really get into it but now that book 2 is on it’s way I should finish it 😛 my friends seem to be enjoying this so far!

  5. Definitely looking forward to this sequel, too!! I personally like the new covers better – though I agree that they don’t really remind me of vampires. The old cover’s white washing was a total turn off for me though and it reminded me of something you would see in Hot Topic.

  6. I’m embarrassed to admit that I still haven’t read anything by Julie Kagawa! I know, hard to believe! The Iron Fey is on my TBR pile – I have the whole series in audio format. I also won The Immortal Rules in a giveaway, so I really have no excuse!!!

Nice pick, and I’m definitely bumping up Kagawa’s books on my TBR pile 🙂

    Thanks for stopping by!
