New domains

I bought some awesome new domains this week! I have no idea what I’ll be doing with them though.. I think I got a little trigger happy. Here’s what I got:

These are some examples of the new gTLDs (alternatives to .com, .net, etc.). I literally have no idea what I’ll do with them. I JUST LIKE TO HAVE THEM!! #domainwhore

The most delicious hot chocolate

I got a bag of “Burdick Blend” hot chocolate mix for my bridal shower, which was basically just shaved bits of chocolate. I finally made my first cup on Thursday night and it was fabulous!

A hectic week!

This week has been SO hectic. I have a ton of client projects to work on, plus emails to respond to, plus a wedding website to finish up, plus moving apartments. Coding God and I currently have three apartments. THREE! One in London, which I’m trying to get rid of; one studio apartment in Cambridge, for which our lease ends later this month; and our new 1-bedroom apartment in Cambridge. This weekend consists of:

  • Going to London to pack up everything in the apartment (today)
  • Meeting the moving guy to load everything into his truck (tomorrow)
  • Meeting the guy back in Cambridge so he can unload all the stuff from London into our new apartment (tomorrow)
  • Moving everything (bed, sofa, tables, etc.) from our old Cambridge apartment to our new one (tomorrow)

What’s new with you?

Tell me about your week!

    1. Aww, good times! I totally remember that.

It’s just fun to have a lot of domains. I have way too many.. lol.

  1. OMGosh!! I would die if I had your schedule. I complain if I have more than two things to do on my weekend off. (I’m in no hurry for my stuff I hope you know that.) πŸ˜‰

BTW I love your HP mug of the map. So cool. That HC sounds devine. Yummy.

    1. Yeah I hate it too. I think we’ve done most of the hard bits now, but we still have a lot of unpacking to do. EW!

    1. Yeah I actually have a ton of domains that redirect! Like nosegraze.net, nosegraze.org, and nosegraze.co.uk all redirect to nosegraze.com. It just means no one else can try to steal my domain by registering nosegraze.net and starting a whole other site with the same name! It’s a great way to protect your name/brand. πŸ™‚

  2. I know a lot of coding savvy people who are #domainwhore too. LOL. This is the first time I’ve heard of gTLDs and they sound waaaay cooler that .com/.net etc. but they are also very long domain extensions which can be a real pain when typing a web url/site. πŸ˜€
Your Marauder’s Map mug is to die for, where did you get it? πŸ˜€

    1. Yeah some of them are super long. And after so many years of only having com/net/org/etc., they don’t actually look like websites! I think people who aren’t tech-savvy won’t recognize them as real links and might type in like:

      yabook.reviews.com
      instead of
      yabook.reviews

Just because they don’t realize it’s a URL! I think it will take a few years for people to properly adjust to this change, which is understandable. πŸ™‚

I got the mug from the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio! I love it!!

  3. I MUST HAVE THIS MUG. That is all.

Okay actually that’s not all. I’m glad I clicked through because your formatting is super cute! Feedly strips out the pink behind the headings, so I didn’t realize quite all the fun stuff you’ve incorporated into the new design! It’s lovely, as expected. πŸ™‚
