Where I Got My “Ask Me a Question” Feature

Did you code your pop up that says, “Ask me a question” or is it a plug in? I quite like it!

This question has been very commonly asked ever since I installed this feature.

Ask me a question plugin

Originally, I bought the plugin from Code Canyon. However, the plugin was removed from the store (I have no idea why) and is no longer available for purchase.

When I coded my new site design with Bootstrap version 3.x, I realized the plugin no longer worked because it was built on Bootstrap version 2.x. My options were either: dig through the plugin code to make it work with the latest version of Bootstrap, or re-code it. So I decided to re-code the plugin entirely from the ground up. Doing this enabled me to fix a lot of quirky problems with the plugin. For example, I always hated the way the “subscribe to question updates” feature worked (basically not at all). Now I was able to code it so that the question owner would be notified specifically when the question gets answered, or when comments are added to the question.

So currently, there is no way to buy this exact plugin. However, I am thinking of one day selling my re-coded version as a plugin of its own. Stay tuned!
