Meme Directory & Wiki

I added two new features to BookBlogging.net this week! We now have a meme directory and a Wiki. The wiki is intended to be a resource hub. You can enter links to your blogging tips/tutorial posts, or you can eve post articles straight on the site!

We also now have over 30 books available for bloggers to request. Check out the list of available books.

New UBB add-on coming soon!

I’m currently working on a new add-on to the Ultimate Book Blogger Plugin. This will be a review request add-on. It will allow you to put a form on the front-end of your site where authors/publishers can submit review requests.

UBB Review Request Form

You can show or hide whichever fields you want, and rearrange them to be in whatever order you prefer.

And some of the fields will auto-fill with UBB information. For example, let’s say you’ve reviewed a book by “Wendy Higgins” before, so you have that author in your UBB info. If Wendy decides to submit a request to you and starts typing “Wendy Hig..” into the “Author” field, it will automatically pop up with “Wendy Higgins” because her name already exists.

Searching for Wendy Higgins

And the list of genres will come from the list you’ve created in Posts » Genres.

These requests then get sent into a new section of your WordPress admin panel where you can view and moderate them. If you choose to accept the request and review the book, you can then click a button to “copy to new book review” and it will create a new post draft for you with all the book information filled in!

  1. Congratulations! I’m such a fan of everything you do so I’m excited about the addons. Sidenote: Do you tutor on how to be a better book blogger šŸ™‚ lol, sort of funny, but sort of super curious too.

    1. It’s going to be a shortcode, and it’s meant to be something you put on a page, like maybe on your review policy page. šŸ™‚ So then when authors or publishers want to invite you to review their book, they use that form instead of sending you an email.

  2. First, congrats on getting married! That must feel so awesome.
I so wish I had that UBB, but I’m not self hosted šŸ™ Someday I hope to be though!
The books you got look interesting, although I haven’t seen them before. Hope you enjoy them and have a good week šŸ™‚

  3. Congratulations on your marriage <3

I love the two new features on Book Blogging! I haven't had a chance to go through the wiki yet but I'm really excited to read all the posts because there are a ton there already šŸ™‚

AND YES! I love this new Add-on! I will be getting this one for sure, such a fabulous idea and will make review requests much easier for a lot of us šŸ™‚

  4. Congratulations Ashley! Really nice rings.
And the book plugin add-on seems quite interesting too. How does it work when you purchase the add-on? Do you get the add-on later for free, do you pay a yearly fee?

    1. The add-on is a separate plugin file that extends the functionality of UBB. So you pay a one-time fee for the separate plugin file (much like you originally purchased UBB), and then you install it. šŸ™‚

  5. Congratulations, Mrs. Coding God!

I’ve read great reviews about See Me by Wendy Higgins! I actually have it in my Kindle, hopefully I’ll read it soon!

The new UBB add-on looks amazing! Will it be possible to add the short-code to more than one page?

BTW, I’m so totally in love with your new design! I did a double take when I saw it! <3

  6. Your new design is beautiful šŸ™‚

o00o nice new bookies! I love the cover of Kiss of Deception, but books with pretty covers have let me down before!

    You’re so talented šŸ™‚ <3 That add-on looks awesome.

OHHH and I know I've already said it like 15 times, but congratulations šŸ˜€ How excite. Wish you all the best šŸ™‚
